Hi! I’m Evanie—the artist behind Mivanie, a Lehigh Valley–based "brand" born from my love of texture, color, and creating with yarn.

After working at A.C. Moore* for many years, I was lucky enough to meet and work alongside some incredible local artists. Being surrounded by their creativity and passion inspired me to find my own artistic voice.

Which led me to start Mivanie!—my space to explore techniques in fibre arts like crochet, knitting, sewing, and embroidery.
Every piece is made slowly (totally not because I got distracted...), blending together of traditional techniques with modern-day whimsy. Mivanie is my way of turning threads into something warm, familiar, and just a little bit magical. Basically, functional art with a hug built in.

*If you never got the chance to walk through an A.C. Moore, you really missed out on something special. Artists, crafters, and teachers flocked there, not just for tool and supplies, but for inspiration. With frequent coupons, hands-on demos, and relatively friendly staff (retail is a special kind of workplace, ya know.) it was closer to a creative hub than a retail store. 
I miss it dearly...
